PANTHERS REIGN: Members of the Hilsman boys’ basketball team celebrate after beating Burney-Harris-Lyons in the CCSD City Championship. Led by first-year Head Coach Thomas Chang III, the Panthers rallied late in the second half to win 48-31, claiming the middle school’s first basketball championship since 2020. The Panthers beat the reigning champions, W.R. Coile Middle School, the previous day. Hilsman player Dayln Scott (24) took home MVP honors for the tournament. Photos by Ethan Greene.
