Georgia high school target of school shooting

On Sept. 4, police rushed to Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia after reports of gunfire within the school. Students were evacuated to the school’s football field as injured students were driven and airlifted to hospitals. News helicopters recorded the hectic scene below as parents ran to the school to make sure their children were safe. By the end of the day, 4 students and teachers were dead, and 9 others were injured. The main suspect, a 14-year old Apalachee freshman, was arrested and is being charged with murder and tried as an adult.

Harris and Trump campaigns agree to debate rules

The campaigns for presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have agreed on rules for their upcoming debate. These rules outline how the debate will go and function, from rules for microphone muting to how the debate will go in its 90 minute time span. Some of these rules have been carried over from the debate in June. The debate will be on Sept. 10 at 9:00 pm EDT on ABC News.

Trump election interference case returns to court

Former President Donald Trump is once again being charged with 4 counts of interfering and attempting to overturn the 2020 Presidential Elections. This case was previously overturned in July by the Supreme Court, granting him some presidential immunity in the process. The case has been revised and has returned to court, where Trump has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

Hunter Biden pleads guilty to tax evasion charges

Hunter Biden, the son of incumbent president Joe Biden, has pleaded guilty to tax evasion charges brought against him. Since he pleaded guilty, Biden will not face a trial, instead, he is expected to be officially sentenced sometime in December. This comes a few months after Biden was charged for felony gun charges in June, with a sentencing date in November.  It is currently unknown whether or not Joe Biden will pardon Hunter.
