Elon Musk faces lawsuit over his $1 million giveaway to swing state voters
America PAC, a political action committee committed to finance canvassing operations and supporting Donald Trump, launched a $1 million giveaway for voters into all 7 swing states including Pennsylvania earlier in October. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is suing CEO of Tesla Motors Elon Musk over his giveaways, which he is offering to voters daily. The lawsuit is based on Philadelphia’s lottery and consumer protection laws. Additionally, the US Justice Department also warned Musk’s PAC that his giveaways could potentially violate federal laws that include offering cash for voter registration.

Trump holds rally at Madison Square Garden, Harris at the Ellipse
Presidential Candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have held rallies in the final days leading up to the election. Trump held a rally Sunday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, making his final appeal to undecided voters. Harris held a rally Tuesday night at the Ellipse in Washington DC, just north of the National Mall. The candidates have also held other elections and public events as the election closes in.

Japanese Ruling Party loses majority
The Japanese Liberal Democratic Party, also known as the LDP, has lost its majority in the Japanese House of Representatives. This comes after a snap election, marking the first time the LDP has lost its majority since 2009. This also comes less than a month after the president of the LPD, Shigeru Ishiba, became the Prime Minister of the country.

Google fined $20 decillion by Russian Judge
A Russian judge has fined the tech company Google over $20 decillion. These fines come from the ban of many Russian YouTube channels starting in 2020, around 17 total, leading to fines that continued to double over the span of four years for failure to reinstate the channels. As of 2022, the global GDP is estimated to be about $100 Trillion USD, while the market cap for Google is $2.2 Trillion. The fine is expected to double every day if the fine is not paid off within a few months, according to Forbes.

Flash Floods in Spain kill 200+ and injure many
Flash Floods in the Valencia region of Spain have killed over 200 people and have injured many more. These floods were caused by heavy rainfall that has been described as “a year’s worth of rainfall in 8 hours” by a state-run agency. The current death count is unknown, and rescue operations are continuing.
