10,000 troops from North Korea will be fighting alongside Russia soon
Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on Thursday with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte at the Western security alliance’s headquarters in Brussels. Zelensky said North Korea is preparing to send more than 12,000 troops to fight alongside Russia on Oct. 18. North Korea has deployed their troops and will be fighting alongside Russia as soon as this weekend.

More than 5000 ballots have been casted in Athens
Early voting in Athens and Oconee has surpassed the high numbers that the 2020 election had obtained by thousands. This year, early voting began on Oct. 15 and since then 6,147 people casted early votes in Athens. In Oconee County, more than 7,200 people have already voted, according to Athens Banner-Herald.

Egypt declares malaria-free after 100 years of many attempts
The World Health Organization announced Egypt is now malaria free and is the third country to be certified in the Eastern Meditation Region along with the United Arab Emirates and Morocco. Malaria is a life-threatening disease spread to humans by mosquito bites. Egypt authorities have tried to make the country malaria-free for nearly 100 years. Malaria kills an estimated 600,000 people every year, mostly in Africa. Globally, 44 countries and one territory have been certified malaria-free.
