About
BluePrints is a student-led publication through Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Georgia that runs BluePrints Magazine, WJAG-TV and the Cedar Shoals Yearbook.
BluePrints strives to spread important stories to the Clarke County School District community while providing students the opportunity to learn about student journalism while improving their written, interpersonal and visual communication skills.
Made up of one publication class and advised by Mr. Marc Ginsberg, BluePrints publishes both online content (stories, broadcast, photo galleries and multimedia packages) and print magazines every year.
Every year, BluePrints students attend the Georgia Scholastic Press Association (GSPA) conference in Athens, Georgia. Students attend a variety of classes to learn about practices of journalism and improve their networking and writing skills.
BluePrints also annually attends the Southern Interscholastic Press Association (SIPA) conference in Columbia, South Carolina where students attend classes instructed by national award-winning journalism advisers and take part in a variety of on-site competitions with student journalists from across the Southeast.
