Corrections
In our volume XXIV Issue 3, we notices mistakes that were not corrected:
Pg. 39 – “Villatro” should be spelled “Villatoro.”
In our Volume XXII Issue 1, we noticed mistakes that were not corrected:
In the table of contents under the “FEATURES” section, the final page titled “Beth Mendenhall” was not included in the final print production.
Pg. 25 – There should be a period at the end of the article after “Noble said.”
Pg. 40 – An earlier draft of the article was accidentally put in the original file rather than the most updated version. The online edition of the magazine is the corrected version.
In our Volume XXI issue 2, we noticed mistakes that were not corrected:
Pg. 16 – “FALL SPORTS STARS” should be “WINTER SPORTS STARS” at the top of the page.
Pg. 18 – In the first sentence of the second paragraph of “The Last of Us” review states, “The first episode opens up with a prelude following Joel and his daughter Jane.” The name “Jane” should be “Sarah.”
Pg. 35 – In the caption titled “STAR SHOOTER,” the caption should read, “STAR SHOOTER: Senior James Xiao stands next to his STAR teacher Greg Huberty. STAR recognizes a student at each CCSD high school with the greatest SAT score, who is also in the top 10% of their class based on GPA. ‘It is both an honor and a privileged to be named STAR teacher,’ Huberty said. ‘An honor because of all the phenomenal teachers at Cedar Shoals that I represent, and a great privilege because the greatest reward for a teacher is the acknowledgement that you made a meaningful contribution to the intellectual growth of a student.’ Photo provided by Clarke County School District.”
On Aug. 18, 2023, the BluePrints magazine editors decided to take down an article from the website titled “Mason the musical prodigy,” written by former staff writer, Samantha Mifflin. It was brought to the attention of the magazine advisor by the subject of the article that there were several factual inaccuracies, heavily paraphrased quotes and general grammatical errors. We acknowledge that this undermines journalistic integrity and hope that the removal shows our sincerest regrets.
