The Cedar Shoals library hosted a Maker Space Monday button making event focused around poetry button making for Black History Month. The station was set up with markers, poems and paper for students to construct pins to decorate their clothes and bags. Due to the weather, the most recent Makerspace event was held on Feb. 2 upon returning to school after the snowday. “We decided to commit to doing a monthly maker Monday where we chose a craft or had students lead the craft, or have a student business leader come and do something with their skills,” media specialist Megan Ogden said. Senior Sophie Meile is the Viewpoints Editor and Web Editor for Cedar BluePrints for her fourth year on the staff. Meile enjoys singing, playing guitar, going on walks, designing, hanging out with her friends and journaling. After graduating, she wants to travel Europe and study biology at UGA.
