Gallery: District Spelling Bee
Clarke Middle School student Andréas Dillies won the Clarke County District spelling bee for 4th through 8th grade on Jan. 27. The runner up was Gabriel Marcos-Ventura from Winterville Elementary School.
“My favorite part is when it’s over, and the kids are happy, because it’s really stressful and I know that that’s just a piece of it, but it’s really fun to see everyone together. This is the first time that I’ve been in this position where we’ve had school representatives, and runner ups, so it was really nice to just see a crowd full of folks from around the county cheering them on,” Gifted Coordinator Jennifer Bogdanich said.
