A run to remember

On Sat Feb. 4 at 8 a.m., people gathered together to walk and run down Cedar Shoals Drive and back in remembrance of former Cedar teacher Joshua Samspon. The 5k memorial race was created as a way to celebrate Joshua Sampson’s life and share stories with people doing something he enjoyed.

“This is really honoring him for being a runner and being a part of the community, having everybody show up for him is very great,” Joshua’s wife Stacy Sampson said. “It just means a lot to have him remembered and seeing how many people’s lives he touched.” Photos by Megan Wise.
